On February 2nd, KAAE hosted an insightful seminar at Erbil Polytechnic University, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The session aimed to increase awareness of the accreditation process in the Kurdistan Region and highlight its importance in strengthening institutional quality and advancing educational excellence.
The event brought together participants from various higher education institutions, alongside faculty, administrators, and students from Erbil Polytechnic University. The seminar provided an engaging overview of the stages of accreditation and outlined the expectations for institutions preparing for review.
A panel featuring Dr. Honar Issa, Secretary-General of KAAE, and Dr. Mohammed Hussein Ahmed, Director General and Head of the Apparatus of Supervision and Quality Assurance at the Ministry of Higher Education, offered valuable insights into quality assurance, institutional readiness, and the broader impact of accreditation on the region’s higher education landscape.
Participants gained a clearer understanding of how accreditation supports continuous improvement, strengthens institutional performance, and contributes to greater regional and international recognition.
