The Kurdistan Accrediting Association for Education (KAAE) delivers a series of Education Effectiveness seminars focused on Standard 3: From Outcomes to Impact. The sessions take place on November 23, 24, and 26, 2025, and are presented by Dr. Honar Issa.
Hosted respectively by the University of Duhok, Salahaddin University-Erbil, and the University of Sulaimani, the seminars bring together academic leaders, faculty, and quality assurance staff from institutions across the Kurdistan Region. Each event is held in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The seminars introduce the essential components of Standard 3, emphasizing the importance of clearly defined learning outcomes, systematic assessment, and the effective use of evidence to strengthen academic programs. Participants explore how outcomes translate into measurable impact, how assessment results inform planning and resource allocation, and how institutions can demonstrate continuous improvement through documented evidence.
Across all three universities, discussions focus on building internal capacity, aligning assessment practices with accreditation expectations, and reinforcing a culture of quality and accountability within Kurdistan’s higher education sector.
To support participants and other institutions, the presentation PowerPoint is available on the KAAE website under the Resources tab, within the Training Materials section.
