The Kurdistan Accrediting Association for Education (KAAE), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and hosted by the General Directorate of Education in Duhok, delivered a comprehensive seminar on K-12 accreditation awareness on September 16, 2025. The session was led by Dr. Honar Issa and brought together education leaders and administrators from across the governorate.
The seminar introduced the purpose and structure of national accreditation, KAAE’s role within the Kurdistan Region, and the foundational expectations for K-12 institutions preparing for future accreditation cycles. Participants engaged in discussions on quality assurance, institutional readiness, and the importance of transparent, standards-based school improvement.
This seminar marks an important step in strengthening capacity across the K-12 sector and supporting schools as they move toward a more consistent, accountable, and student-centered education system.
