The Kurdistan Accrediting Association for Education (KAAE) and the Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools (MSA-CESS) entered into a collaborative partnership to enhance PK–12 education across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The collaboration aims to establish a globally recognized school accreditation framework that promotes continuous improvement and strengthens educational quality for all students.

Key objectives of the partnership include building KAAE’s institutional capacity, developing quality assurance policies, tailoring accreditation standards for the regional context, and supporting effective implementation across schools. The joint work will cover needs assessments, standards development, capacity-building programs, school improvement processes, awareness and outreach activities, and policy and governance support.

Through this partnership, KAAE and MSA-CESS are committed to applying international best practices to help schools in the Kurdistan Region advance teaching and learning and better prepare students for future academic and professional success.
