Akam Omer holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Information Systems Management from the University of Liverpool and brings more than two decades of experience across multiple fields of information technology. His professional background spans telecommunications, education, healthcare, cybersecurity, learning management systems (LMS), and the deployment of digital education tools. He is widely recognized for his deep knowledge of technology transformation in the region. At KAAE, Eng. Akam leads the digitalization of core processes by creating IT policies, building secure infrastructures, and guiding both K-12 and higher education institutions in implementing the right technology tools. His efforts focus on improving student learning, enabling efficient digitalization, ensuring transparency, and supporting accreditation processes. He has developed and enforced key frameworks aligned with international standards, including ISO/IEC 27001, to safeguard data and enhance governance.
