Andria K. Talentino

Dr. Andrea Kathryn Talentino is the ninth president of Augustana College, having assumed the role on July 1, 2022. Prior to this, she served as the provost of Nazareth College in Rochester, New York. Dr. Talentino has held several significant positions in academia, including dean of the College of Liberal Arts at Norwich University in Vermont and associate dean at Drew University in New Jersey. She also held a faculty position at Tulane University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Princeton University.
Dr. Talentino earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from Yale University, followed by a master’s and a doctorate in political science from UCLA. Additionally, she holds an MBA with a concentration in organizational leadership from Norwich University.
Throughout her career, Dr. Talentino has been recognized for her dedication to creating an inclusive and holistic student experience. Her focus on integrating diverse educational opportunities has been a hallmark of her leadership. She is known for her commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as her innovative approach to higher education.
Under her leadership, Augustana College continues to uphold its mission of transforming lives through education, emphasizing the development of students’ abilities and fostering a supportive community environment.
