Masrour Barzani
Masrour Barzani is a prominent Kurdish politician and a leading figure in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG). In 2012, he was appointed Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Council (KRSC), where he played a crucial role in coordinating security and intelligence efforts during a critical period marked by the rise of ISIS. Under his leadership, the KRSC worked closely with international allies to combat terrorism and maintain stability in the region.
In July 2019, Masrour Barzani was appointed as the Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government. His tenure as Prime Minister has focused on economic reform, diversification, education and innovation, and modernization of the region’s infrastructure. He is also committed to strengthening the KRG’s relationships with both Baghdad and international partners, striving for a stable and prosperous Kurdistan.
